In pot still mode -
If distilling a 10-15% ABV wash, your initial ABV will be around 80% and steadily decline during the run until you turn the unit off.
Note: The Air Still Pro will run the same as the Air Still when in Pot Still mode.
In reflux mode -
If distilling a 10-15% ABV wash, you can expect to collect a final ABV of 90% . If you are distilling a higher ABV wash of 20-40% ABV, you can expect to collect a slightly higher ABV. Refer to our column packing recommendations for more information about how to increase ABV with the Air Still Pro.
Note: Typically, the first distillate (approx. the first 50-100ml) the Air Still Pro produces in Reflux Mode is slightly lower than 90% ABV. It will then typically produce slightly higher than 90% ABV (approx. 91-92% ABV) during the middle of the run. Towards the end of the run, when most of the alcohol has been distilled out of the boiler, the last 50-100ml is slightly lower than 90% ABV. For these reasons, users can expect a final total 90% ABV from a 10-15% ABV wash.
